MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL & SYSTEMS

The standard engine is the Isuzu Marine 4LB35 35hp diesel with twin alternators(separate charging of engine and domestic battery bank), Newage PRM 120 gearbox with Vetus 'dry run' stern gland. The engine space is fitted with a 12v automatic bilge pump with manual override switch. For those who frequently cruise on fast flowing navigations an optional upgrade to the 42hp engine is available.

12v power is provided by 1 x 110ah battery dedicated to the engine, and 3 x 110ah for domestic services (lights pumps etc.). 12 v outlet in saloon. Main lighting is by way of overhead fluorescent '2D' lights, with additional wall lights in the saloon, reading lights over the double bed, combined extractor fan/ light in the bathroom and interior lighting in the galley display cupboard.

The boat is wired for 240v with brass twin sockets in the bedroom galley (2) and saloon. RCD and MCB circuit protection with conventional exterior hook up socket. If required a 1500w or 3000w inverter can be fitted as an option.

Cabin heating is provided by a Mikuni diesel fired central heating boiler with radiators in the bedroom, saloon and galley, and a heated towel rail / radiator in the bathroom. Hot water is provided from a calorifier (hot water tank) which can be heated by the Mikuni, or by the engine. (The engine heats a full tank of water in 15 - 20 minutes. Think of that the next time you are on a motorway!). And should it get really cold there is also a solid fuel stove in the saloon.

INTERIOR

The interior of the hull is fully insulated with sprayfoam.

The cabin linings are in varnished oak veered panelling, with solid oak trim. This creates a warm and light interior with materials that have been time proved for the sometimes harsh conditions of boats. At some point or another everyone forgets to pull the slide closed in a rain shower!

The floors are fully carpeted, with the exception of the galley which has a solid pine varnished floorboards, and the bathroom which is in vinyl. Lined curtains are hung at the windows on brass rails with brass 'holdbacks'.

There are several colour co-ordinated interior schemes from which to chose, which includes the carpeting, curtains, work surfaces and tiling.

The saloon can be fitted with several options. A dinette can be provided which is designed to convert into a double berth for 'guest' use. The format can be 'L' shaped (1 long and 1 short seat at right angles), or 'Pullman' style (2 seats opposite). Also hanging space can be augmented with two full height wardrobes against the forward bulkhead each side of the front doors.
