06/02/2012 Lying at Newbury on the Kennet & Avon canal, we have for sale a 50ft replica working narrowboat. Originally built by Colecraft, the vessel now has a new superstructure by the Warwickshire Fly Boat Co, with originally style boatman's cabin and engine room. The remainder of the vessel comprises an open hold, which is clothed over in authentic fashion. The interior fit has beem carried out by Rex Waine and the external paint livery is by Phil Speight.The hull has been overplated to the waterline, and power is provided by a traditional Rigas twin cylinder diesel. With this vessel it is possible to live the history of the canals, and it can be purchased for £29,500.
23/01/2012 Just arriving at Iver is this 70ft Cheshire Steelcraft Traditional Style narrowboat, with Russell Newbery DM2 diesel in own engine room. The spec includes a fully installed Fisher Panda 2.5 kva generator, 240v washing machine and freezer. The vessel offeres berthing for 4, with a fixed double and two singles (an ideal child's cabin) in the aft cabin. For sale at £46,000.
21/12/2012 Always popular we have a 54ft Semi traditional style narrowboat for refurbishment. Previously a BW section 8 vessel, the foredeck has been extended and 'flush decked' in the style of a tug. The interior and exterior are declared to require attention, and hence the low price of £15,000. Lying ashore, Gloucestershire, so the hull may be inspected.
20/12/2012 We have never offered a boat for sale quite like this one. Having started its life as a 40ft BW working narrowboat the hull has been refurbished and a new steel superstructure fitted. The entire vessel has then been refitted to a high standard using hardwoods. The vessel features a long flush decked bow, thus allowing its use as a 'luxuriosly appointed workboat'!
